ISO 55001 (ISO55001) Asset Management Requirements

ISO 55001:2014 specifies the requirements for and asset management system to manage physical assets. It covers the planning, implementation, and maintenance of an AMS.

This standard:

• Replaces PAS 55-1, the physical asset management standard which has now been withdrawn
• Assists with the planning, implementation and maintenance of an AMS
• Helps address risks and opportunities related to physical assets
• Aids with setting management objectives and plans to achieve them relating to asset management
• Can be used to assess an organisation's ability to meet legal, regulatory and commercial requirements relating to physical assets
